The venue will be situated at 19 Rue de la République, offering views of Gustavia harbour, and will serve guests nightly from 6:00 p.m.

Zuma is set to launch its inaugural Caribbean outlet in Gustavia, Saint-Barth, on 25 November 2026, bringing the brand’s modern Japanese izakaya concept to the island for a winter season that will continue until April 2027.

The venue will be situated at 19 Rue de la République, offering views of Gustavia harbour, and will serve guests nightly from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.. Reservations are already being taken.

Seasonal Opening in Gustavia

According to the official Saint-Barth tourism guide, Gustavia functions as the hub of island activity, with its marina, eateries, and boutiques forming the core of the capital’s visitor experience.

Zuma explains that the new space will blend its three-kitchen Japanese model with sunset cocktails, resident DJs, and late-night service, delivering a distinctive dine-to-late-night experience.

The concept aligns well with Gustavia’s winter months, which draw large crowds and feature events such as the St Barth Cata Cup and Art Week, creating a lively backdrop that matches Zuma’s lively and social dining style.

Design and Layout

The Saint-Barth location has been crafted around its waterfront setting, featuring mainly indoor seating together with a semi-outdoor section that provides high-top tables for drinks and harbour vistas.

Illustrations released with the announcement depict a warm timber-focused interior opening onto the water, equipped with round tables, green-upholstered chairs, and an raised perspective over yachts and the illuminated town.

The floor plan is designed to guide patrons from evening drinks through dinner and onward to late-night service without the need to change spaces, with increasing emphasis on the bar and resident DJ as the night unfolds.

Menu and Drinks

The culinary program adheres to Zuma’s signature three-kitchen arrangement—comprising a main kitchen, sushi bar, and robata grill—offering share-able dishes that reinterpret Japanese techniques through a contemporary izakaya lens.

The beverage program will feature signature cocktails, a curated wine list, and premium sake, reinforcing the venue’s dine-to-late-night orientation rather than a solely restaurant-focused operation.

Sven Koch, CEO of Azumi Restaurant Group, said Saint-Barth had long felt like a natural fit for Zuma because of the island’s combination of food, drinks, music, and social energy.

Global Expansion

In addition to permanent establishments in cities such as London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Miami, New York, Rome, Madrid and Bangkok, the brand also runs seasonal or pop-up venues in locations like Mykonos, Saint-Tropez, Porto Cervo, Capri, Kitzbühel and Gstaad.

Reservations and up-to-date opening details can be found on the Zuma Saint-Barth website.

The Gustavia restaurant will remain open through April 2027, after which its seasonal schedule will follow the island’s winter calendar. Zuma has not yet confirmed if the venue will return for the 2027-28 season.
