A nearly four-decade-old resort on Florida’s Gulf Coast is undergoing a major rebranding as Naples Grande Beach Resort prepares to join the Signia Hilton portfolio in January 2027. The 474-room property, which includes 50 villas, will serve as the brand’s first Signia hotel on the Gulf Coast and its third in Florida, following the Orlando Bonnet Creek and Diplomat Beach Resort locations.
The overhaul represents the most extensive renovation in the resort’s history, covering guest rooms, dining venues, wellness facilities, and public spaces. Hilton calls it a “resort-wide reset,” emphasizing modernization while retaining the property’s beachfront, spa, and tennis facilities. The location remains near Clam Pass, offering three miles of shoreline and easy access to downtown Naples, the Waterside Shops, and other regional attractions.
This expansion marks a strategic shift for Signia Hilton, which has traditionally focused on urban and convention hotels. The Naples property introduces a leisure-oriented coastal option, testing how the brand’s luxury, wellness, and meetings positioning adapts to a Gulf Coast setting. The move also strengthens Hilton’s presence in Southwest Florida, where beach access, weddings, and group events are major revenue drivers.
Signia Hilton’s Coastal Expansion Strategy
Meghan Fitzgerald, global brand leader for Signia Hilton, highlighted the signing as a key step in the brand’s push into resort markets. Gary Sims, managing director of the Naples property, noted that the renovation balances the resort’s established identity with updated experiences for both returning and first-time guests. Hilton’s current booking listings show reservations available from January 13, 2027, though the original announcement listed January 1 as the launch date.
The property will join the Hilton Honors loyalty program, and Hilton has introduced an opening promotion offering 5,000 additional points for qualifying stays of at least three nights between January 15 and July 15, 2027. Travelers planning early-January bookings should confirm availability, as current listings differ from the initial announcement.
With over 540 hotels across Florida, Signia Hilton provides the Naples property with a strong loyalty and distribution network from its debut. The resort’s amenities—beach access, outdoor pools, spa facilities, and electric-vehicle charging—remain central to the stay. The renovation focuses on updating social and event spaces to better support leisure travel, weddings, and group gatherings.

Testing Leisure-Focused Luxury Over Meetings
The relaunch will be the most significant change for the Naples Grande in decades. For Hilton, it represents a test of Signia’s flexibility beyond convention-focused properties. While the brand’s previous Florida entries, both in Orlando and Diplomat Beach, prioritized large-format meetings, Naples introduces a more leisure-driven coastal resort. This approach could influence future expansions, particularly in markets where wellness and beach access are key demand drivers.
Hilton’s initial announcement on September 10 framed the conversion as part of Signia’s broader growth, but the actual rollout, including the delayed booking start, has since evolved. The property’s Gulf Coast location remains unchanged, situated near the mangrove-rich Clam Pass area with direct access to three miles of beachfront. The renovation preserves these natural and recreational assets while modernizing the supporting infrastructure.
Guests can expect refreshed rooms and public spaces, though the resort’s core appeal, the Gulf Coast setting, will stay the same. Its proximity to Naples’ downtown and shopping districts, along with existing amenities, suggests the transformation focuses on refinement rather than reinvention. Hilton’s decision to retain the Naples Grande name instead of a full rebrand reinforces this emphasis on continuity.
Booking Updates and Loyalty Incentives
Bookings are now open, though the timeline has shifted slightly from the original plans. Integration with the Hilton Honors loyalty program ensures seamless access for existing members, while the points promotion may encourage longer stays. The resort’s new Signia status also aligns with Hilton’s broader push into luxury resort markets, where competition for high-end travelers remains fierce.
The January 2027 debut will mark the first Signia Hilton resort on the Gulf Coast. For the brand, this represents an experiment in blending its signature luxury and meeting capabilities with the leisure-focused demands of a beachfront property. Success will depend on how well the renovation maintains the resort’s established identity while delivering modernized experiences that guests perceive as an upgrade rather than a mere rebranding.
For Meghan Fitzgerald, the move advances Signia’s strategy in resort destinations, while Gary Sims emphasized the renovation’s role in preserving the property’s identity. The delayed booking start and points promotion reflect Hilton’s efforts to manage expectations and incentivize longer stays. With its robust loyalty network and Gulf Coast location, the resort positions itself as a key addition to Signia’s expanding portfolio.
