This will ensure that you have the best of both worlds and that your holiday isn’t spoiled by overcrowding.

Praia da Bordeira, Carrapateira:

This beach is set in the mouth of Ribeira da Bordeira which is uniquely framed by limestone cliffs and rolling sand dunes. This is the perfect place to watch the world go by, as the beach is often inhabited by fishermen sat on the marina with their rods in the sand.

Praia da Vale Figueira:

If you really love nature, then you will really love this beach. The natural beauty is breathtaking and the beach is engavited by lots of wildlife and creatures everywhere. This beach is known to be one of the most naturally preserved beaches in all of Portugal.

If you feel as though adventure has taken over you, then you can partake in lots of activities such as climbing the cliffs that frame the beach, to see the stunning views below. This beach can only be accessed by walking down an extremely narrow path, which adds to the fun of the secrecy of it all.

Praia da Marinha:

This beautiful stretch of beach is only a stone’s throw away from the small town Lagoa. This municipal town is known for producing wine and although it is one of the smallest towns in Europe, it is one of the most picturesque.

When the tide is high, only a thin stretch of beach can be accessed, however, when the tide is low, you can climb on the rocks and explore the marine life in the rockpools. This is great for the family to enjoy, so if you’re wanting a little bit of adventure, as well as a lot of quiet, then this beach could be perfect for you.
